H.I.P.H.O.P. Scholars present Exploring Hip Hop: Destroying Hip Hop’s Appetite for Self
Destruction
Milwaukee, WI-March
18-H.I.P.H.O.P. Scholars has announced today that they will be continuing the
Exploring Hip Hop series entitled Destroying Hip Hop’s Appetite for Self
Destruction. The program will feature
Professor Griff of the infamous group Public Enemy and performances Tuesday, April
21 beginning at 7 P.M. at the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Wisconsin Room.
This program will feature an exciting lecture by Professor Griff. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A. Following, there will be a performance by
some of Milwaukee’s best local
artists. The event is free and open to
the public.

H.I.P.H.O.P. Scholars was created at UWM in 2008 and the community
based organization H.I.P.H.O.P. was created in 2007. Both organizations strive to preserve the
original principals of hip hop culture and to use hip hop culture for social
change.
